Vale Margaret Holloway

It is with sadness that we advise our members of the passing of life member, Margaret Holloway, on the 27th July. She was laid to rest in a service in the ACT where she moved to be closer to her family 2 years ago.

Margaret joined the Club in 1984 and was awarded life membership in 2016.

A stalwart of the Coffs Harbour Golf Club, Margaret became Ladies Vice Captain three years after joining the Club and for the next 23 years was either on the Board of Directors or the Ladies Committe, sometimes both at the same time!

Margaret was a huge influence to our Festival of Golf spending 1997 – 2010 on the Festival of Golf Committee, being the Festival Co-Ordinator for 11 of these 13 years.

A Club sponsor since 2010, Margaret was known for her support of ladies golf and her wealth of Club related knowledge and experience. Margaret gave her time freely and was a mentor for many.

Our thoughts are with Margaret’s family and friends, we hope her inspiring legacy and many happy memories are of comfort during this sad time.
