Ready Golf
Hi Members,
With pace of play in mind, we have some ready golf tips below that will ensure everyone has a fun and happy time on course. We have also included a video below.
READY GOLF STANDARDS
On the tee: Players are required to apply “Ready Golf” standards. The first player to each tee who is READY, hits off.
On the fairways: The first player READY plays their shot, regardless of distance to the green, (PROVIDED IT IS SAFE TO DO SO).
On the greens: Make your preparation while others are putting so that you are ready to putt immediately when it is your turn. Once you start putting, you should finish unless you will be standing in someone’s line.
If your group has fallen behind the group in front when 2 players have putted out, then they should immediately move to the next tee and tee off.
Note: It is the responsibility of each group to keep up with the group in front. If you are not able to see the group in front it is likely you are holding up the whole field.
Other handy hints!
It is the players responsibility to be on the tee ready to hit off at your scheduled tee of time. The Club will be assessing your pace of play based on your tee off time. Don’t wait to be called, you should be at the tee 5 minutes before your scheduled tee time.
Hit your shot before helping someone to look for a lost ball – most often they will find their ball while you play your shot.
Mark your score card once you have reached the next tee to allow other groups to play, not off to the side of the green.
Place your bag, buggy or cart between the green and the next tee.
If you are in carts, drop your partner off to play their shot and then move to your ball to play your shot.
If carts are on paths take your distance finder and a couple of clubs to the ball to play. Don’t make two trips.
