Opening the new-look 19th, Nearest the Pin Shootout.

Life members, Matt Martin and Ken Gibson, teed off first and both hit amazing shots that fell just short of the new green.

Margaret Holloway decided to watch, along with a crowd of well-wishers.

The NTP shootout team was Mark Brindle (black), Trent Jones (green) and Aden Louez (blue), Carrie Fagan (orange), Beck Goldsmith (red) and Ada Lynch (purple).

The enthusiastic spectators cheered on their favourites, but the two to go through to the final were Aden (blue) and Carrie (orange).

During the final shootout, Carrie was leading with a great shot, 9.3 metres to the right of the pin.

With his final ball, Aden took aim and with a 7 iron, sent it straight and true, over the lake, finishing 1.2metres just short and left of the pin.

At the prize-giving Aden and Carrie received ProV1s for their excellent efforts.

The blue ticket holders who had backed Aiden went into the draw.

First was Maria Swain who wins a night at the Observatory Holiday Apartments, donated and presented by Heather and Neil Manson.

Second was Alice McGregor, who wins a Deluxe Pedicure Gift Voucher, donated by Hand and Body Concepts.

Winners of the two Lakes Bistro Vouchers are: $50 Nick Stocks: $25 Ken Trevaskis.

Well done to the winners, and many thank to the helpers and everyone who contributed.

This event raised $1190 towards the Bushfire Recovery Fundraiser.
