Men’s Pennants Update from Michael Krilich
Mixed results this week in for our Pennant teams.
We hosted 3 South West Rocks (SWR) teams and 1 from Frederickton.
Division 1 went down 3/2 to SWR. Close wins to Brenton Cook 2 & 1 and Dan Curley 1 up.
Div. 2a had a win 3/2 over SWR. Warrick Lynch had an impressive 5 & 4 win.
Div 3a had a 2.5 to 2.5 draw with SWR. Geoff Knight off 23 had an emphatic 6and 4 win.
Div. 3b beat Freddo 3/2, Dan Weiss playing his first ever match play even had an impressive 4 and 2 win.
Div. 3c Lost to Dorrigo on their home turf 4/1. Must have been the altitude! But it didn’t affect John Nichols who had a resounding win 7 & 6!
Div. 4 played Safety Beach and struggled on that tricky course going down 4/1. We understand that newbie Sam Crampton earned a draw after being down, that ½ point can certainly help at the end of the season.
