Members Update

Dear Members,

Thank you to all the members who are supporting the Club and modifying their playing habits so we can give fair access to all our members.  These are obviously very unique times and it is important to note that the Club is very lucky to be open and have as many golfers out on course being a 27 hole course.  A reminder that members who cannot play during the week due to working, to contact the Club so we can look at options for you to be able to play on the weekend.  Email Hayley at reception email reception@coffsharbourgolfclub.com.au

Score Cards:

We wish to advise members that as we are playing in groups of two, we are asking that all cards now go to the marker not the player.  The player will not need to touch the card, just confirm the score with the marker after each hole.  The cards need to be put in the letterboxes at the end of each course for collection by a staff member.

Saturday Timesheets:

Due to the difficulties for members getting on and the overload on the website we are changing the times for the opening of the timesheets for Saturdays only.

Ladies: 5:30pm, Friday week prior

Men: 6pm, Friday week prior

All other timesheets apart from Saturday open at 5:30 pm, 8 days before, i.e. Thursday would open on Wednesday night the week before.

Medley Competitions:

The Match committee did an analysis of the prize distribution in medley events and the results would suggest that the number of Ladies winning prizes is a much smaller percentage than their representation in the field.  Due to this an additional prize for the best Ladies score in a Medley will be presented, where there are at least 12 Ladies in the field and the field has at least 50 players. Should we have a situation where the Ladies win 2 or more of the overall prizes then the additional prize would not be awarded. The prize would also not be awarded if the player fails to have at least 30 points. Where the prize is not awarded an additional overall prize will be added.

Music:

We have received complaints relating to the noise level of music on the course. This is off putting for many players, especially when it can be heard across several fairways. While playing background music is discouraged by the Match Committee, members that are playing music or the races are asked to be mindful of the noise level so that it cannot be heard across fairways.

Pro Shop:

Just a friendly reminder that when you enter the Pro Shop for retail or to register for golf that you follow the arrows and exit the shop from rear of the building.
