Dear Members,
Another week has gone by and how grateful we all are that we can still play golf in these difficult times. Thanks to the fine weather and the work from the greens department the course is in great condition and we are now back to play the ball as it lies. Again thank you to all the members who continue to follow social distancing rules and are supporting the Club, we are truly blessed to have such a great membership base.
Weekend Competitions
As we are all aware we are limited to two players per timeslot, which limits the amount of golfers we can fit on the course. As such we are asking members to be considerate of others when booking for golf and in particular for those weekend timeslots. In order for players who can only play weekends to get a game, we are again asking members who are not working to limit their competition play to mid-week only unless vacancies are presented the day before play for weekend play. We have been made aware that some working members are still not able to get a game on the weekends. If you are one of these members can you please email us at reception@coffsharbourgolfclub.com.au. Please let us know your name and the reason why you cannot play during the week, it might be that you are still working, work in an essential service or are caring for family at home. The Club will gather this information and assess how we wish to move forward to allow for fair access to competitions for all members.
Social Play
Members wishing to play socially need to book into the social timesheet online so we are aware of who is on course and can control the social distancing. Please do not turn up to the Club without first booking your golf. Members will see a social timesheet online for each day, which shows the available timeslots. A reminder that the course is only open to full playing members.
Proshop Covid-19 Policy
We have noticed that members are still using the front entry of the Proshop to exit. Please be advised that the front door of the Proshop is ENTRY ONLY. We ask members to follow the arrows on the floor and exit via the back door of the Proshop. This allows us to comply with social distancing. Please use the hand sanitiser outside the front door of the Proshop before you enter and follow the tape markers on the floor once you enter the Proshop.
Locker Room
We have noticed some members are still using the men’s locker room. Please be advised that the locker room is CLOSED. In prior correspondence members have been asked to retrieve their clubs and take them home. The only reason a member should be entering the locker room should be to use the toilets.
Process for Cards
A reminder that a scorecard that is returned without scores written on it and only having the scanning boxes marked will be deemed as disqualified from the event. Both the scanned boxes and the score must be written on the card in the appropriate space. The score that the player will be attested for will be the score written on the scorecard if there is a discrepancy.
Pull Buggies On Greens
Members are reminded not to pull their buggies across the green. The reason for this is due to the fact that they are bringing foreign grasses onto the green.
