Magpie Swooping

Magpie Swooping

Dear Members,

We have had reports of a magpie nest between the 13th & 14th, approximately 100m up from the 13th tee, which has resulted in a magpie swooping at a member.

As we are currently in swooping season we remind members to be extra vigilant in this area and while on course.

Magpies swoop to protect their nests so should you be swooped by a magpie, the advice is to stay calm and avoid waving your arms around, this will only give the magpie reason to think you are a threat. Stay calm, cover your head and face with your hands and walk calmly away from the area. Please report any swooping to reception.

Stay safe.
