Dear Members,
We want to take the opportunity to thank our members for your patience under these difficult times especially with restricted booking access. A very big thank you to Matt and his team in the Pro Shop who are working incredibly hard to manage members access to the course. Remember we are all in this together so be kind and we thank members for their continual support of the Pro Shop though the sales of drinks, tees, balls etc, it is greatly appreciated.
New Timesheets Opening
We wish to advise members that all timesheets (except Saturday) will be opening this Wednesday 25th August 2021 at 7pm. A reminder that we are only opening timesheets one week in advance while we are in lockdown. The timesheets will be set up under current lockdown protocols of 2 per group. If restrictions are lifted, we will let members know and add spots to the existing timesheets. The timesheet for Saturday 4th September 2021 will open Monday 30th August 2021 at 7pm. Members who can’t play golf during the week due to work or carer commitments need to send through a ‘priority booking’ request to the Club Captain, John Nichols, via email to captain@coffsharbourgolfclub.com.au. In your email please state your preferred time of play and if you wish to be paired with another priority approved player. All requests for priority bookings need to be emailed prior to 7pm Sunday 29th August 2021 (conditions for priority booking are HERE).
Renovations Monday 30th August
Our scheduled greens renovation coming out of Winter will take place this coming Monday 30th of August 2021 (weather permitting). As such there will be no competitions on this day but social play will be allowed. Whilst playing socially we ask members, if you come to a green with the flag out of the hole and/or greens staff are working on the green, don’t hit up to the green, just pick your ball up and proceed to the next hole.
On Tuesday 31st August and Wednesday 1st September 2021 we will be topdressing greens (weather permitting) and greens staff will do their best to minimise disruption. We ask for members patience through this process and respect that the course staff have right of way during these renovations. While the timing of these works isn’t great, they are essential to ensuring our greens recover from Winter and are in top condition for our Festival of Golf.
Masks
A reminder to members that masks are now mandatory outdoors as per the latest Public Health Order. The only exception to this rule is if you are exercising. However, a mask must be carried at all times and a $500 fine apply will apply if you are caught without your mask.
Thank you,
Coffs Harbour Golf Club
