The Board met Monday night and resolved the following changes to Golf at the Coffs Harbour Golf Club while COVID restrictions are in place for those choosing not to get vaccinated, those that are partially vaccinated and fully vaccinated members. The Board and Managements priority is making sure our members continue to get access to play on the course. These changes will be lifted when we reach 90% vaccinated status and restrictions are lifted.
Competitions
Moving forward all our competitions will have provisions for twos and fours to play. As more of our members become vaccinated there will be less spots for twos in the field.
At this stage vaccinated players must play in fours on Saturday’s due to the limited spots and unvaccinated / partially vaccinated in twos. In all other competitions a non-vaccinated player may play with a vaccinated player in twos if they wish. The vaccinated player will need to contact the office or pro shop to book in as the timesheet will block them booking into a twos spot.
Social Play
Members and visitors are able to play either in fours or twos depending on their vaccinated status. A vaccinated player can play with a non-vaccinated player only in a group of two if they choose.
Thursday / Saturday Competitions
Due to the restrictions and a number of male members still not being fully vaccinated or choosing not to get vaccinated our Thursday and Saturday timesheets will be restricted to members only. Currently three days out if there are vacancies a visitor can book in, this will no longer be permitted until restrictions ease.
Festival of Golf
Provisions will be made in the single events for twos allowing partially vaccinated and those not getting vaccinated to play. Our Club Captain has already made these changes to the timesheets. All other events will be for fully vaccinated only. As they are teams events.
Club Championships
Provisions will be made in each grade for twos, allowing partially vaccinated and those not getting vaccinated to play. Our Club Captain has already planned these changes to the timesheets.
Carts
Two players are allowed to share a cart if they are fully vaccinated. For those not getting vaccinated or those that are partially vaccinated you are not allowed to share a cart.
