The Fillin’ the Drain Shootout that was held last Friday was a huge success due the many members and guests who participated plus the many volunteers who assisted.
The event raised $460 for the Seve Brindle Fundraiser and it also was an event that showed the great spirit and sense of fun we have at our Golf Club.
There were a total of 21 players who slam dunked their shots into the drain on the full as well as many who came so close.
Lochie Smith was the first one to land it in the drain on the full so that was a huge moment. Other highlights included Sub Junior member Lily Mackay landing it in the drain from the 70 metre marker and Sandra Price landing it in the drain three times from three attempts.
The 21 players went into a sudden death shootout and the final two were Wendy Johnstone and Jeanette Walsh with Jeanette being our over all winner!
Thank you to everyone who supported the event and now we can look forward to the opening of the new hole
PS – to those members that asked the answer is no. you cannot claim a prize for hitting it in the drain in last Saturday’s competition 🙂
