Covid-19 Update – Timesheets & Scorecards

Hi Members,

Please see updates below:

Pre-Paid Booking Policy

Following up on last Saturday’s and Thursday’s competitions under the new player restrictions for social distancing, it was pleasing to see that it went really well, with everyone adhering to their responsibilities and enjoying the competition.

However, it can’t be understated that if these rules are not followed we may be faced with a complete shutdown, which would be a disaster for the Club, especially after working so hard to have it in such a great position.

With the latest restrictions (maximum of two players per group), we are severely limited for the number of players on these major days, so if you are able to play on other days to help spread the load and give our working members who have limited time available an opportunity to play on these days, it would be much appreciated. We will be running Medley competitions on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Some members rushed to put their names on the timesheet with the thought that it secured them the option of playing or not, particularly on Saturday, with several members withdrawing on the morning of the competition last week which deprived other working members the opportunity to play on the day and left some groups with only one player.

This is certainly not fair to other members that missed out on a game and not fair to the Club. The Board is working hard to keep the Club open to members and secure employment for all of its staff during this time of severely restricted trading. Remember we are playing in twos and so any withdrawal leaves a member by themselves on the sheet.

We wish to advise members that as of 5.30pm today, all timesheets will now be opening a week in advance.  A reminder for Thursday and Saturday competitions, you are required to book and pay online. If you don’t pay immediately it won’t hold your booking after 3 Minutes. Once the booking has been made you will have until 12.00 noon on the day prior to the game to cancel the booking otherwise the payment will become non-refundable, except on written application to the Board with a valid explanation. Refunds will be credited to your wallet held on your member’s card.

All other timesheets you can book online and then pay at the Proshop on arrival. All cart bookings are paid at the Proshop on arrival.

The Board is working hard with the staff to keep the course open and to give access to as many members as possible, however the Match committee will be monitoring cancellations to make sure everyone is being considerate and committed to the competition in placing their name on the timesheet at this time when we have limited access to the course. Consistent late withdrawals may face some disciplinary action.

Scorecards

When you complete your rounds now, you will notice there is a letter box at the end of each 9.  Please put your scorecards in the letterbox. This is to avoid congestion at the Proshop so we do not breach the social distancing rules.

We also remind members that once you have finished your round and placed your scorecards in the letterbox that you are to go home. We have noticed some members hanging around and while we understand that you do want to be here, we have to strictly follow the rules to enable us to remain open for our members.

Please remember 1 person per cart, practise social distancing, disinfect your gear and cart and follow the rules so we can remain open.

BAR

We are asking that members bring their own cooler bags for takeaways on course. We won’t be issuing cooler bags. You can still collect ice with your takeaways. We have some bar special at the moment:

Mid Strength 6 Packs @ $20

Tooheys Old Cartons @ $40
