Hi Members,
We wish to congratulate those members who followed the guidelines on the weekend; the majority of players were considerate to the new rules which make it possible for us to keep golf open for our members.
We do need to remind members of the following rules:
- 1 person per cart and no more than 2 players per group. There are NO exceptions to this rule. It doesn’t matter if your playing partner is your spouse or a family member including children, Golf NSW have made it clear that due to social distancing, there must only be 1 player per cart and we can only have 2 players per group. We have received complaints from members of the general public that they have seen 2 players in the one cart, please remember that the general public do not know if the 2nd person in the cart is a family members or spouse so the perception is social distancing is not being followed hence why it is so important that there is only one player per cart. If we continue to receive complaints, there will be no other option than to shut down.
- For those members who reside on the boundary of the golf course, we also remind you that you need to follow these rules regardless of if you are exercising on the golf course or playing golf, the same rules apply.
- We remind members that after you finish your round and put your scorecard in the letterbox, you leave immediately. The reason for this is we have had reports of groups gathering around the Proshop after their round especially on Thursdays and Saturdays. This is a rule the Club has imposed to keep our members safe.
- We are asking any member who is playing socially, to book in via the social timesheet and report to the Proshop on arrival.
To reiterate, the Coffs Harbour Golf Club have implemented the following rules following the advice of Golf Australia and Golf NSW
- 1 player per cart only, regardless of if you are with your spouse or family members.
- 2 players per group only, regardless of if you are with your spouse or family members
- Arrive no more than 20minutes prior to your tee time and leave immediately after your game
- Members who are playing socially still need to book into the social timesheet and report to the Proshop.
- The Course is restricted to members only to play
Opening Hours – Bar & The Lakes Café
- The Lakes Café will be open from Tuesday 7th April through to Thursday 9th April from 10am – 5pm for takeaways. They will be closed Good Friday. The Lakes Café will also have a range of takeaway dinners that you can take home after your round, we encourage members to support the Lakes Café and staff during this time, they are working hard to stay open.
- Due to Good Friday the Clubhouse will be closed on Friday 10th April, there will be no bar takeaways on this day due to our licencing restrictions. We are open on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday so come and support Dave and grab a drink to takeaway during your game.
We urge members to understand that we have put these rules in place to keep our members safe and to keep golf open for as long as possible.
Thank you,
Paul McAra
