Covid 19 Update

Covid 19 Update

Coffs Harbour Golf Club’s Clubhouse is temporarily closed however the golf course is still open. This means we are still open for social play and member’s competitions.

These changes are in accordance with the Federal and State Government ruling around licensed venues to combat the transmission of COVID-19.

Takeaway items will remain available however the Clubhouse will not be open for normal trade.

The advice we have received is the golf course can still be open and members and guests can play golf. However we have a set of restrictions that must be strictly followed otherwise we face a complete shutdown.  We ask for members’ cooperation in this especially in maintaining social distancing, 1.5m apart.

Playing Rules

  • There will be only one player per cart. There will only be one set of clubs per cart for the player. No other player may drive or enter the cart. You must not give a lift up the hill to another player or move the cart for the player. Any breach of this will instigate disciplinary action with severe consequences. Anyone breaching this rule will be asked to leave the course immediately. Carts will be reduced to $12 for 9holes, $20 for 18 holes, members and visitors. If members have already booked a cart with a partner, they will need to go back into the time sheet and book a separate cart.
  • Marking Score Cards. The scorecard need not be signed by the player, but must be marked by the marker. Verbal certification should be done at the conclusion of each hole by the player and marker. The card can then be scanned by the marker. Once scanned successfully the card may be discarded.
  • Flagsticks. The flagstick must be left in when putting and not removed or touched. We are trying to minimise contact with the flagstick. If the flag needs to be removed to extract your golf ball please ensure your hand still has a golf glove on or some other protective device (golf towel etc.).
  • All rakes have been removed from bunkers. Players may take a Preferred Lie in the bunker. The player should smooth the bunker as much as possible with their feet or a club when the shot is completed.
  • There will be no NTP’s available to avoid having to handle the markers and to ensure the Competition can be finalised remotely.
  • Card payments only, no cash as of tomorrow 24.03.20

After the Game

  • Cards are to be discarded once successfully scanned.
  • There will be NO formal presentation to winners after the game.

The Competition will be finished remotely by a Match Committee Member. They will not have access to the cards, so if a card has not been scanned successfully the player will be disqualified and Golf Link will be updated accordingly.

If you have travelled overseas within the past 14 days or have been in contact with someone who has, you are not allowed into the Club or on the Golf Course.

The Bar will be open from 10.00am – 5.30pm every day for TAKEAWAY purchases only. Card payments, preferably tap and go, will only be accepted. Please note drinks need to be taken off premise to be consumed, beverages cannot be consumed in the Clubhouse, on the balcony or around the Proshop.  Beverages can be taken onto the golf course.

The Lakes Café will be open for TAKEAWAY purchases only, opening hours and menu to come.
