Golf NSW have amended their recommendations in relation to temporary Local Rules and so effective from Monday 30th November the following will apply:
- We will allow the removal of flags and discontinue the insertion of the pool noodles. It is strongly recommended that either a glove or a towel is used to remove the flag. We still recommend leaving the flag in as much as possible to reduce handling. Should a group wish the flag removed it should be done by one player as detailed above, then laid on the ground where it does not interfere with play. At the completion of the hole the same player should replace the flag.
- We will revert to players swapping cards for the purposes of marking scores.
The current temporary rule relating to rakes in bunkers will continue, so there will be no rakes in bunkers and preferred lies will be in play as per the Local Rules notice board.
Match Committee reserve the right to reintroduce these Local Rules should the need arise.
