Australian Women’s Classic 2026
Following the enormously successful staging of the 2025 Australian Women’s Classic in March this year, we wish to share an update regarding the future hosting of this event.
Golf NSW has recently advised the Club that despite the outstanding efforts of our team and volunteers – particularly under the challenging conditions caused by Cyclone Alfred – a decision has been made not to return the tournament to Coffs Harbour in the immediate future. We want to stress that this decision by Golf NSW is not a reflection on the 2025 event, which Golf NSW described as a remarkable achievement under difficult circumstances.
Golf NSW in their advice outlined three key factors influencing their decision:
- Challenges in achieving unique visitor attendance, which impacts the significant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tied to NSW Government funding
- The need to renegotiate event funding following the recent change in the NSW Government.
- Unpredictable climatic conditions in the Coffs Harbour region during the February/March period.
