71st Annual Festival of Golf
It’s almost time for our 71st Annual Balter Festival of Golf to kick off, this Sunday 24th October! While Covid 19 has restricted some of our activities, we haven’t let it spoil all the fun and have lots happening during the week!
A big shout out to Justin and his team for their hard work over the past few days, the boys have worked tirelessly to clean up the course after the storm to get it back to Festival of Golf standards.
Our opening day still has spots left in the Mixed 4BBB, there are a couple of men looking for lady partners so ladies if you have been thinking of playing, this is your chance.
Remember if you are playing in our opening day on Sunday, there is a free post game platter for all teams after your game.
Hole in One Competition
We have two hole in one competitions this year.
The first golfer to score a hole in one on the 3rd will win an Adina watch valued at almost $500, thanks to our very generous sponsors Parrys Jewellers.
A 4-person tour at the Balter Brewery is also yours if you are the first golfer to score a hole in one on the 19th, thanks to our major sponsors Balter!

Putting Competition – Member’s Appreciation
To show our appreciation for our member’s support through Covid we will be running a free putting competition on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th October. There will be champagne for the ladies on Wednesday and Balter tastings on Thursday. Each day there is a Cleveland front line putter up for grabs! Anyone can enter, there is no charge just simply show up on the putting green from 11am – 3.00pm Wednesday and 11am to 1pm on Thursday.
Prawn Raffles
Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th October will see the return of our prawn raffles! Tickets will be sold in the Clubhouse from 5.00pm – 6.00pm on both days.
Ladies Theme Day
Wednesday 27th October is ladies day and our Ladies Committee have themed this year as “Life’s a Beach”. A very fitting theme as we all need something bright and cheerful after the Covid craziness. Come dressed in your finest beach gear and enjoy a tropical cocktail to get into theme.
Friday Night Dinner
Friday night dinners have been a great success of late and we are really proud to say they have been selling out with rave reviews. For our Festival of Golf Friday night dinner, Gerry and Coen are cooking up some great seafood specials along with their normal dinner menu.
