Covid 19 Vaccination Changes 11/10/2021 – Entry to Coffs Harbour Golf Club

Dear Members and Guests,

We have received advice today from Golf NSW regarding the Public Health Order released by the State Government, that will affect the operations of the Club.

We stress to members and guests this is a directive from Golf NSW and the State Government, not the Club.

The new regulations will come into force on Monday, October 11th 2021, and as follows:

OUTDOOR SPORT AND EXERCISE

  • The Public Health Order states that fully vaccinated people can undertake sport and exercise at outdoor public gatherings in groups of up to 20
  • Unvaccinated people can only undertake sport and exercise at outdoor gatherings in groups of up to a maximum of two

CLUBHOUSE OPERATIONS

  • Hospitality areas have been listed in the Public Health Order as a ‘higher risk premise’
  • Any person entering a Club premise (Clubhouse), including the Pro Shop, must be fully vaccinated
  • A Club must take reasonable steps to ensure a person complies with the Public Health Order when entering premises
  • The golf course and Clubhouse surrounds, if Club rules permit, can be accessed/utilised by unvaccinated patrons in line with outdoor gathering restrictions
  • Club staff must wear a face mask when dealing directly with members of the public unless they have an exception to do so under the Public Health Order
  • Organisations are expected to have an up-to-date COVID-19 Safety Plan in place

A person who is not fully vaccinated may enter a Club if they:

  • Are medically exempt and carry a medical contraindication certificate; or
  • Are under the age of 16 and accompanied by a fully vaccinated household member; or
  • Are only on the premises to purchase takeaway / scan scorecard
  • Are entering the Pro Shop to pay for their golf / pick up score card

GOLF

  • Fully vaccinated persons may play in groups of four and may share a cart
  • Those not fully vaccinated may play in groups of two and are not permitted to share a cart

We will be making provisions for unvaccinated/not fully vaccinated members to access social and competition play and will advise these once we have gathered further information around number of members vaccinated/unvaccinated.

TIMESHEETS

Timesheets that are not open will be left locked until the Club is able to determine the ratio of members who are vaccinated to those who are unvaccinated.

If you will not be fully vaccinated by Monday 11th October, and will not be fully vaccinated when you next plan to play golf, we ask that you remove yourself from the timesheet.

VACCINATION CERTIFICATES

Members, if you are vaccinated, please provide us with your vaccination certificate by Friday 8th October.

If we can see unvaccinated members in the timesheet in a group of four, 48 hours prior to your tee time, you will be removed from the timesheet.

Any member who is booked in to get their second vaccination in the near future, can you please email us at reception@coffsharbourgolfclub.com.au. This way if we see you booked into the timesheet after your second vaccination date, we won’t delete you out.

If you have already provided us with your vaccination certificate, you do not need to contact us.

Downstairs toilet facilities will be accessible to all members and guests.

The Board and Team members make no judgement on members or guests vaccination status so we ask that you, in turn, show the same consideration to us, and our team, for having to implement these rules as directed by Golf NSW and the NSW Government.
