North Coast Open Volunteers – Thursday 10th & Friday 11th December 2020
Firstly thank you again for putting your name forward to volunteer for the upcoming North Coast Open Professional Event and thank you to those volunteers who were able to make it to last night’s briefing. For those who could not make it, some of the roles that we originally called volunteers for have changed so you may not have been allocated your first preference. The PGA have issued a late request for scorers on every third hole so those volunteers that were originally listed as spotters have now been reassigned as a scorer. A PGA representative will be at the Golf Club Tuesday 8th December at 10am to give Scorers a tutorial on how to score using a PGA supplied iPad. Do not stress if you can not make it, Ian Brown and Gina Dodd our Chief Volunteer Coordinators will be able to give you a demonstration when you arrive for your shift.
Please see attached the Volunteer Roster North Coast Open Volunteer Roster 10th and 11th December with allocated times and tasks, this has been updated since our last email so please recheck your times and advise asap if you can no longer make it. We ask that you turn up half an hour prior to your allocation time at the registration tent to check in and collect your lunch and drink voucher
We are still looking for a morning scorer and a couple of reserves for Friday 11th December if you know of any fellow members or golfing friends willing to assist.
We have a very strong field of professionals and leading amateurs for the event, for a look at the players entered click on the links below –

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
Attached is an updated outline of the volunteer requirements for the tournament North Coast Open Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities. We have included a video outlining how to rake a bunker, please click HERE to view the video. With COVID safety still required one of the key roles of our volunteers will be following each group and raking bunkers after the players have hit. Please have a read through the information sheet and watch the video to refresh yourself on the correct way to rake a bunker.
WHAT TO BRING
- Pink Polo – we are asking those volunteers of the Women’s NSW Open (held 2 ½ years ago) to wear the pink polo shirt issued so you are easily spotted by players needing assistance. Volunteers who do not have a pink polo or similar colour can wear a CHGC logoed polo (any colour) if you have one (name tags will be issued).
- Water bottle
- Wide Brim Hat
