Changes to member competitions due to Covid-19 – Saturday Competition Update.

Changes to member competitions due to Covid-19

Saturday Competition Update.

As members will be aware due to the further restrictions imposed by the government we have had to alter our timesheets to ensure we can maintain social distancing.  The current Saturday competition sheet is now void and will be deleted. From 2pm this afternoon a new Saturday timesheet will open and we have moved from 4 players to 3 players per group and 10 minutes intervals between groups.

Members for this timesheet will have to pay when booking for their golf with comp fee of $15.50. If a member has to cancel, they can ring the Proshop or Reception and that money will be refunded to their member account.

Due to the Clubhouse closure all money on prize wallets will now not expire while the clubhouse is shut so you don’t need to worry about prizes expiring before we are back up and running.

Moving forward, we will now be creating competitions on every day to allow members fair access to competition golf. We are asking those members who are now not working, if you can choose to play away from Thursdays and Saturdays to allow those who are working to get access to play as well. All competition golf will be now be restricted to members only. If a member wishes to play socially, they can ring the Proshop to book. We want to make sure all members have access to golf during these restrictions. For these competitions members will be able to turn up and pay for golf and carts in the Proshop as it will only be a 1 tee start. Members are reminded to not turn up earlier than 20 minutes before your game.

Carts

Cart Bookings can still be booked online however all payments will be taken in the Proshop. Remember strictly 1 person per cart. A reminder that we only allow 4 people in the Proshop at one time. You need to maintain 1.5m spacing around you. We have placed Xs on the floor of the Proshop to outline where golfers need to wait.

We thank all members in advance for their cooperation and understanding in these hard times. We would like to reinforce that if you have travelled overseas in the past 14 days, returned from overseas in the past 14 days, have been in contact with someone who has OR you are showing signs and symptoms of being sick that do you not visit the Club.

Other helpful tips

–         Scoring, members are reminded that they score their own cards and not to exchange cards. A verbal check is all that is required at the end of the game

–         Members are not required to scan their card, please drop cards in the card box outside the Proshop, cards will be scanned by a volunteer

–         Pin is to remain in the hole and members are reminded not to touch the pin

–         There are now no rakes in the bunkers, it is preferred lie in the bunker
