Changes to member competitions due to Covid-19

As you will know the situation with Covid-19 is changing daily and we are listening to advice to ensure we comply with government directions and to ensure our members safety.

Due to recommendations we have received from Golf NSW we are changing member competitions and restricting numbers on course. We will also be increasing the intervals between groups to ensure we can maintain social distancing.  A reminder that we are only permitting 1 person per cart and we are asking members to not turn up early before their tee off time. Please arrive no more than 20 minutes before your tee off time.

We have had a number of enquiries whether spouses can share carts. While this would appear to be ok it is vitally important that we are seen by members of the public adhering to the 1.5m spacing. The continuation of golf is reliant on our ability to demonstrate social distancing to the public and government. Therefore this is reason we are not allowing spouses to share carts.

The timesheets will be closed and new timesheets will be released tomorrow for Saturday onwards. If you are playing in Thursday competition tomorrow, please review the timesheet as we have made changes to times to create spaces between groups. You will notice now that the timesheet will identify which course you are playing. On arrival you will not need to present to the Proshop instead your cards will be separated into each course and can be collected from outside the Proshop. There will be one table for each course and a team member will hand you your card. We ask that you proceed to your tee immediately after collecting your card.

Members need to maintain the 1.5m social distancing rule at all times and only have 1 player per cart.  The practise green will be closed during the busy cross over period.

There is no need to pay before your round; we will be putting the competition fee for Thursday on your member’s account.  This won’t occur until after you have registered and received your card.

If you wish to cancel or change your booking for Thursday, the timesheet is now open.

We ask for member’s cooperation in this very challenging time, if members do not adhere to the changed conditions we will be forced to further restrict or cancel future competitions.

We remind members that the bar and Lakes cafe are open for takeaway purchases only. Members need to practise social distancing while ordering and all beverages and food need to be taken off the premise, members cannot sit in the clubhouse or on the balcony as the Clubhouse is closed apart from takeaway purchases.

Kind regards,
