The newly constructed 19th hole was officially opened last Saturday afternoon. The opening was conducted by John Nichols and special guests include life members Margaret Holloway, Ken Gibson and Matt Martin. On what was a perfect afternoon Ken Gibson and Matt Martin had the privilege hitting the first tee shots to the new green. The result was that, of course, they stripped their shots straight at the green.
With the official ceremony concluded a shootout competition followed with Rebecca Goldsmith, Ada Lynch Carrie Fagan, Trent Jones ,Mark Brindle and Aden Louez taking aim at the flag in an effort to become the shootout champion. After each player hit three shots it can down to a final between Aden and Carrie. A laser like seven iron from Aden finished just 2 metres from the flag and that gave him a deserved victory.
