Players Personal Liability Insurance \u2013 important update<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Golf Australia provides every member with $20m public liability insurance as part of their affiliation to Golf Australia.\u00a0 The insurance is\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0taken out by the Club, but is provided directly to everyone with a GA number by Golf Australia. \u00a0Thus, any claims are made via Golf Australia website http:\/\/golf.com.au<\/a><\/p>\n

As an individual member you are covered for public liability in the event that you are found to be\u00a0negligent<\/strong>\u00a0for causing injury to another person or damage to a third party’s property whilst playing or practising golf at any golf club or recognised practice facility in Australia or New Zealand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There is no excess in respect of personal injury claims, and a\u00a0$1,000<\/strong>\u00a0excess in respect of damage to third party property.\u00a0 It is important to recognise that this policy is a liability policy and not a general insurance policy. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Golf Club Car Park Damage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any member parking in the Club\u2019s car park does so at their\u00a0own risk. \u00a0<\/strong>It is understood that damage may occur from a stray golf ball.\u00a0 The Club accepts no responsibility for any damage caused to vehicles parked or moving in the parking areas or entrance drive.\u00a0 If a player identifies that they have hit a car, it is up to the player to report the incident to the Club and deal directly with the owner of the vehicle. \u00a0<\/p>\n
