NO STOPPING HALFWAY <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n As from Saturday 9th<\/sup> April 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Until further notice, on all competition days, there will be no stopping halfway during a round.<\/p>\n Please be advised that you will be entitled to purchase food from the Lakes Caf\u00e9 but only take away alcohol will be supplied as there will be no tapped beer halfway.<\/p>\n At all times, but especially during the winter months where stopping is not permitted, it is imperative that the field move at a reasonable pace and stay in touch with the group in front.<\/p>\n PACE OF PLAY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n With the onset of shorter days and no stopping after 9 holes, we are reminding our members to continue to maintain a good pace of play. We set out our general guidelines for the pace of play below.<\/p>\n Please arrive at the first tee ahead of time so you are ready to play immediately the group in front are out of range, preferably going to the tee when the \u201cFollowed by\u201d call is first made. It is important that each group maintain pace with the group in front.<\/p>\n As a reminder, our club has adopted \u201cReady Golf\u201d to improve the speed of play. Please consider following some of these examples during your round:<\/p>\n Also, please remember to play a provisional ball if your first ball could be lost.<\/p>\n Match Committee will monitor the times for all competition rounds and check the finish time is close to the group in front. In order to be accurate, it is important for everyone to scan their cards immediately after completing the round and before putting carts or clubs away.<\/p>\n We thank you for your assistance.<\/p>\n John Nichols<\/p>\n\n
